VESSEL POSITIONS
We currently have the below listed positions available:
Tug Captains & Mates:
Minimum 500 gross tons license and Master/Mate of Towing. Very competitive salary.
Positions available in New York and Portland locations, local knowledge is preferred. Captain candidates for New York must have near coastal and NY harbor experience.
Marine Engineers:
Chief engineers for ocean & coastal towing tugs. Must have EMD engine experience with a mininum of 4,000 HP DDE license preferred.
*** All crew members must have valid TWIC card or proof of application for TWIC card.
SHORESIDE POSITIONS
Project Engineer:
Seeking experienced candidate to oversee the construction of new tugboats and support the quality, safety and enironmental goals of the company.
Essential Duties: Supervise new construction and major refit of vessels, supervise development of construction and repair specification and bid packages, monitor contractors and shipyards during construction and repair projects, conduct on-site surveys of vessels and equipment to determine maintenance and repair needs.
Qualifications: BS in Engineering with USCG license, Five years experience in tugboat construction and repair, familiarity with ABS and USCG rules, knowledge and ability to use various computer software programs, valid passport and willingness to travel.
Port Engineer:
Seeking candidate with strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills for a shore based position in Staten Island, NY.
Qualifications: Minimum of two years experience as an engineer on tugboats, mechanical experience working on Detroit Diesel 71 Series, EMD, Fairbanks Morse, and Caterpillar engines, also electrical system experience. Must have MMD and TWIC.
Prefered Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering or related, Maritime Academy graduate, USCG license.
